Day 7

Day 7 – Up a little later than I'd hoped (7:20), didn't leave until 9:55. 3 hours (!) to get out to Valentine Bottom, very rough. 1 hour to Turkey Head Bottom, 1 very hard hour to Cabin Bottom (wasn't their a trail last time?), 30 minutes down bottom to campsite. Saw ruins around Turkey Head, chimney on Cabin Bottom, etc. Saw rafters-kayakers at top of Cabin, but they didn't stop. Right when I got over to get water, 2 rafts (6 people) went by, said they were going down Cataract. Got a little water, very muddy, but enough for dinner. I'll let jugs settle overnight. My secret spot is still sweet. Kitchen on wall still in place (after 8 years), scrubber I left in 2002 is right outside my tent. Another calm night, half moon tonight.
