Day 9

Day 9 – Long day. Up at 4:50, writing this at ( pm. Left at 7:30 (some pump issues), 2 hours across Deadhorse Canyon to point, 1 hour to head 1st unnamed sided canyon (it has the sketchy part), 2 hours 20 minutes for 2nd unnamed side canyon, 2 hours 10 minutes for Fiery Ledge and drop in. Finally got to camp at 4, got water, smoked, recuperated. Knew of nearby site, so I took it. Easy getting water, lots of bugs, tadpoles, birds. Very green and hospitable after last 8 days. No more tamarisks. Not much time to do more than set up, get water, eat and go to bed with that long a day. P.S. - Whoo-hoo! Made it!
