Day 12

DAY 12 Another nice blue day. Even the wind was mild this afternoon. Not sure about temps anymore, my watch died this afternoon, but it felt like it has the last couple of nights. Left for my hike at 9:10, back at 12:40, long walk out, went way out of my way, much quicker back, just came up SN Deer Canyon, saw lower part, then past what I saw yesterday. Hike was easy until I got above In. House, then quite tricky to get down. Finally found a way on 3rd try, 2 hard climbs, but I got to the right bench. However, the access out was horrible and I didn’t dare. Very slanted and smooth and horribly exposed. So back I came. Got water, lied around, went for a little mesa top hike for an hour, scouted out my path tomorrow, then lied around some more. Tomorrow should be short but heavy, carrying three gallons of water. Looking at a long afternoon as well. Maybe I can find that whiskey!
