Day 01

Dropped off by Rasmussen near airstrip outside of Bluff, walked down dirt road about 30 minutes to slickrock on rim above Butler Wash. Stashed pack and went down old road into Butler Wash. Lots of water, pretty muddy. Saw Metate House, ate lunch by river. Started photographing and videoing rock art along river, Rasmussen, Mike Scott and Ras' kids went by on raft. Continued up river to Kiva Wall Ruin, then up to Moqi Steps and pottery field. From Moqi Steps 30 minutes back to Butler Wash, ate 2nd lunch, then 30 minutes back to camp. Got water, set up camp. Very warm day.
