Day 01

Day 1 (March 2) - Left work early that morning, drove to the Needles Ranger Station and left Michele's car. Almost hit a deer by Blanding (me driving Mikes car). Drove to near Hite and out a dirt road to the Sundance Trail. Hiked out and down the very steep trail, about 1200 feet straight down a scree slope. Hung our food from a cliff and climbed back out. Made it to the car by sunset, and hit the pavement by dark. Drove back to Cedar Mesa and camped on the south side of the Bears Ears. Very, very cold night, probably the coldest night I have ever spent camping
