Day 02

Day 2 - Freezing cold morning. Drove about 4 miles up the road, then hiked (uphill) about 2 miles to the pass between the Bears Ears. Then we ran into some serious snow. We made it about 2.5 miles, wading thru snow sometimes up to our knees. Very long day. Boots and socks soaked clear through. Found a dry clearing in some trees, melted snow for water. Everything freezes solid the minute the sun goes down. Early night
