Day 04

Day 4 - Warm morning, wind starts blowing later in day and cools it back down. Manage to keep feet dry today. We spot an Anasazi ruin about 30-45 minutes downcanyon from Cherry Canyon. Corner has eroded away, exposing interior. Half of structure is either sealed or accessible only from the top, which we cannot see. Downcanyon, snow gets thinner and thinner, canyon gets deeper and "cliffier" as we continue. See a huge frozen spring under an overhang. Eventually reach the Wates Pond area and a really nice campsite. The pond is very cool with nice icicles. Build another fire.
