Day 10

Day 10 - Got up at 7 anyway, then just hung around all morning. Hiked downcanyon with Mike at 12. Didn't get far - huge waterfall with a scary downclimb. Decided to climb up to see if some rocks were really a ruin or not. Turned out to be an awesome ruin with several intact buildings, including a near perfect kiva. Also 2 smaller free-standing rooms and a roofless metate bin room. Lots of pottery sherds, corncobs, and chippings. Even a few pieces of painted pottery. Washed my hair and waited for Michele to come from camp. Hiked back up to the ruins with her (30 minutes each way, a long steep hike). Then more relaxing in camp. Very warm today, first time all trip I've walked around without a jacket.
