Day 17

Day 17 - Snows all night, still snowing at 9 a.m. Clears up as we hike. Very twisted, cool canyon. Nice afternoon. We decide to go all the way (we were going to spend one more night), do all 17 miles in 5.5 hours. Some interesting rock art at the Peekaboo campsite. Not too bad a hike for 17 miles, but the last mile or two is deep, soft sand - pretty rough when your worn out. Camp at Needles Campground that night. The next morning Mike and Michele take off home, but I go to Cedar Mesa to look at ruins for a couple of days.
