Day 04

Day 4 - Rainy and cool morning. Take a nap and lay in my tent and read a lot. After noon it clears up a lot, so I take a short hike up Ireland Mesa Canyon, come back and go to get water. When I get to the river, it is a raging flash flood! 15 to 20 feet across, 5 to 10 feet deep, trash and trees and plants and banks going by. Walk back to Ireland Mesa Canyon, and it is flashing too. 20+ feet across, a foot or two deep. Nothing to do but wait for it to subside. Should be down by tomorrow. Very stressful.
