Day 05

Day 5 – Check the river first thing in the morning; it is down to maybe 6 inches above where it started Pack up and head out. 13 river crossing to Little Gem Canyon. Tough crossings because banks are muddy and wet. Little Gem Canyon is very nice once past the sticker barrier. Find a fairly good campsite, whole canyon is windy. Cave site recommended by Steve Allen is too creepy for me. Canyon ends at a dryfall with a pool. Water has a musty taste, but is clean and easy to pump. Take a good bath with my two milk jugs. Calm, relaxed evening, especially after last night. Breezy all night.
