Day 06

Day 6 - Another nice morning. Very warm last night, my bag is cooking me. Headed up Salt Creek. Stream is going strong, have to cross it many times. The old road is almost completely gone in most spots. Very hot all day. Find campsite on a ridge well above the wash. Wash my hair again, was going to take a bath, then it got windy and cloudy and cold. Hopefully tomorrow, I'm starting to smell like I died a few days ago. After I pumped water was looking around with binoculars and saw what I thought was a ruin. Hiked over to see, had to climb a tree to get up to them, but it was 2 tiny granaries. Back to camp. Wind stopped, still very cloudy, but warm First day I haven't seen anyone, may not for the rest of the trip. Nice to finally get into the real backcountry, even thought the "trails" were a lot of fun
