Day 4

Day 4 It pours rain all night and our great weather is over. We launch cold and wet. Finally make it to Poison Springs at lunch. We had hoped to go all the way to Powell, but realize that we will not make it before dark, so I am planning on a death hike out to the highway when some people show up to see the river and offer to take Ras back to his truck. I spend the few hours he is gone deflating the boats and taking pictures of even more wildflowers. He returns, we load up, and fly out the canyon trying to beat the rainstorm we can see headed for us off the Henry's. The road is incredibly bad, using the streambed a lot of the time, mostly just water and rocks, but we make it out without problems and head home. Fun, fun, fun trip.
